Longan

Also known as "dragon's eye," is a tropical fruit that's closely related to lychee. Although native to Southern Asia, it's now widely cultivated in a number of tropical and subtropical regions. Small, round, and with a thin, light brown outer shell, the flesh inside a Longan is translucent white, juicy, and sweet with a single large, dark seed that resembles an eye, hence the name "dragon's eye" It can be eaten fresh, dried, or canned, and is a wonderful ingredients for desserts, salads, and cool beverages.
