Why is this important?
It's not just about delivery. It's a smarter and healthier way to feed your family and care for the environment. Every step is intentional, every item is traceable, and every bite brings us closer to a healthier South Florida.
Eco-Friendly Packaging and Waste Reduction
Less waste, more impact: At Green Tomato Market, we not only deliver fresh products, but we do so responsibly. Each order is delivered in a reusable, insulated bag, which helps reduce waste and supports a cleaner, greener planet with each delivery.
No cardboard. No plastic. No guilt: By choosing our healthy food delivery service, you avoid single-use materials and reduce carbon emissions. It's a small change that adds up to big environmental benefits.
We are building a delivery cycle, with your help.
After each delivery, simply leave your previous bag outside your door. Our driver will pick it up so we can clean, disinfect, and reuse it. This simple habit keeps our delivery cycle with a low level of waste and a high impact.
Please note: Customers who cancel and do not return their tote will be charged a $15 unreturned bag fee. Thanks for helping us keep the cycle going.
Easy returns thanks to our local partners! To make returning the bags even easier, we have partnered with local businesses where you can drop off your bag at any time:
- Baker and Barista
- iRun
- Mijal Pilates
- Move365
- Mr.C
- Neon Earth Kitchen + Juiceria
- Pilathon
These partners share our vision of sustainable living and better access to healthy food throughout the community.
Together, we are redefining the delivery of fresh and healthy food
Each reusable bag returned is a step towards less waste, and a cleaner planet.
Thank you for being part of a smarter system that nourishes both people and the Earth.
Delivery of Healthy and Sustainable Food to Your Home
A weekly delivery route for vegetables from local Florida farms emits approximately 62.39 lb of CO₂, totaling 3230.7 lb per year. These short-distance deliveries facilitate access to healthy food while reducing environmental impact.
On the other hand, transporting products by air from places like Philadelphia or New York to Miami generates between 54,366 and 63,960 pounds of CO₂ per week, which is equivalent to around 3.3 million pounds per year. The difference is enormous and important.
These data show why choosing local and fresh farm products is better for the planet. By obtaining products from nearby farms and delivering them directly to your home, we reduce emissions, minimize packaging waste, and offer you natural products that support both your health and the environment.
With this more convenient delivery of fruits and vegetables, every choice you make helps us move towards a cleaner and more environmentally friendly food system.
