Ingredients
For the filling:
- 1 lb ciruelas, pitted and quartered
- 2 tablespoons cane sugar (adjust depending on plum sweetness)
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour or oat flour
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
For the crumble topping:
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
-
3 tablespoons cold butter (or solid coconut oil), cut into small cubes
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a bowl, mix the ciruelas with cane sugar, flour, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Pour into a small baking dish (about 8x8 inches or similar). In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Add the cold butter and use your fingers or a fork to mix until crumbly. Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the ciruelas. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
Enjoy warm, on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
